A Spotlight on Sheffield's Grassroots Sound – Where Local Music Lives and Thrives!
By collaborating with schools and colleges and attending open mic nights across the city, we have successfully brought both new and established local grassroots artists to stages throughout the city, performing to thousands of people.
This year, we have featured grassroots artists on the main stage at the Sheffield Food Festival, as well as at the new busking stage and the Orchard Square Bank Holiday event.
We have been collaborating with schools and colleges to conduct DJ skills workshops throughout the city. Additionally, at this year's Food Festival, we hosted DJ workshops where anyone could drop in and give it a try. Our local talent open mic events are free for all to attend, providing a platform for discovering new artists to perform at future events.
