Tom Coxon is a Sheffield based indie‑pop singer‑songwriter known for his honest vocals and ‘mesmerising’ lyrics. Starting piano at 17, he quickly began writing his own songs, drawing inspiration from a wide mix of genres and artists such as Frank Sinatra, Queen and The Beatles to indie, house, hip‑hop and country.
After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in Business, Tom spent 18 months travelling the world, which has helped to shape many of his newest songs. His writing balances heart-on-sleeve emotion in tracks like ‘I Don’t Wanna Be Famous’ and ‘Pretty Girl at the Bar’ with feel‑good energy in ‘Foreign Love’ and fan favourite ‘Mr Boss Man’.
Scouted at a local open mic, Tom has since performed at the Sharrow Vale Spring Market Showcase as well as bars in Manchester with more gigs on the way. He’s currently building his presence across Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester areas while working toward professionally recording and releasing his music.
